Fresh Basil Pesto Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves packed
  • 2 tablespoons pine nuts
  • 2 teaspoons garlic minced
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese grated
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Add the basil leaves, pine nuts, and garlic to the food processor. Pulse until the basil is coarsely chopped and the garlic is evenly distributed.
  • Add the olive oil, Parmesan, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until the mixture is well blended but still retains some texture.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste and serve immediately or cover and refrigerate for later.
